Giovanni Barbato was born in Padova in 1974. He attended the University of Architecture in Venice and a course in Industrial Design in Padova. However, it was his passion for glass that led Barbato to study at the Abate Zanetti school in Murano. Here he made friends and began his first collaborations in glasswork. Starting at a very young age, he created projects for numerous companies on the island and becoming one of the leading designers in the field of lighting. Barbato went on to win prestigious awards, including the Good Design Award, which is one of the most coveted awards in the design sector.
